Today I link with Beth at The Power of Your Love to memorize God’s word. We memorize one scripture each week.
Would you like to join us? If so, click here.
The verse we learned last week was:
Matthew 1:21
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save his people from their sins.
What a perfect verse to learn the week of Easter! Jesus died that we might have LIFE! Thank You Lord!
This weeks verse is:
Isaiah 53:6
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. (NIV)
I look forward to meditating on this scripture this week!
I am, without a doubt, the biggest sheep in the fold. I’ve gone astray many times. Thankfully, my Shepherd has always come looking for me.
Great verse, Beth!
It’s a blessing to know that everytime we go astray, we always have a home to come back to. This verse is a beautiful reminder of that. Thanks for sharing!! Happy Monday!!
Thanks for joining in this week, Beth!!
I love how last week’s verse followed Resurrection Day–right back to the beginning!!
Thanks for stopping by warmHarte–please keep us all in your prayers!!
Beth
Awesome that you are memorizing a verse each week. Do you put them up around the house?
Such great verses.
Blessings Beth…Great to see you still Memorizing Scripture with Beth & others! I'm looking forward to this next verse also.
Amazing how this one from Matthew 1 was meant to cover from His beginning to His completion and how this ended up…with God's perfect timing because the other Beth does not plan them but just takes the next card in the deck of "Embracing the Word"! I really love that you share NIV, that's my choice of favorite also. The churches here use King James Version in Spanish.
Lately, I hear more NVI.
Blessing on your week! May this new verse come quickly for you! Just sing the song!
