I am linking with Peggy at the Power of Your Love to memorize God’s Word.
Last week’s verse was:
Matthew 22:37-39
Jesus replied: ” ‘ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ “
It is easy to love the Lord, but do I truly understand how to love with all of my heart, soul, and mind? I mean, to my knowledge, I love Him the best I can — with total abandon. But I’d be foolish to think that I truly understand that level of LOVE.
Many of us don’t know how to love ourselves, so how can we love our neighbors? BY THE GRACE OF GOD … right?
This weeks memory verse is:
John 13:35
By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

funny I was just there last week…Words to live by..and ask to be reminded by!
Blessings!
Well said my friend.
Amen dear one, Amen!
Great verse. I wish I could add that to my plate as well but must memorize Psalm 71 for Awanas. Of course I started late…ugghhh!
It all goes back to love, doesn’t it my friend? May we remember to love as Christ loved!
Oh..I love that last verse, Beth!!! So true!!
It’s hard with those unlovable ones…but that is…if we look at them through our own eyes and wisdom. Surrendered to the Lord, loving them seems not as hard because we know we’re doing it for Him. Everything by His grace…Amen. Thanks for sharing this. Have a wonderful day. I’ll be reflecting on this as I struggled with some co-workers on weekends that I work. I know the Lord wants me to do the right thing: love them anyway…And you just reaffirmed what He wants me to do. God bless. Love and blessings.
A resounding AMEN!
Love ya.
Amen, again and again! Great verses, Beth!
I don’t know how I could even stand without the grace of God.
My life was not worth anything without HIM!
Bethy, *Smile*
This one is a daily learning experience for me.
Good Post.
