Today I link with the wonderful Internet Cafe to share God’s Word with a photo.
I touched on this subject briefly in my post about needing one another, but we need to be careful WHO we bring close to our hearts.
We should join the company of people who will point us to Christ and not pull us in the wrong direction.
Proverbs 2:20
So—join the company of good men and women,
keep your feet on the tried-and-true paths.
It’s the men who walk straight who will settle this land,
the women with integrity who will last here.
The corrupt will lose their lives;
the dishonest will be gone for good. (The Message)
For another serving of God’s Word visit the Internet Cafe. Â Happy Word-Filled Wednesday!

Blessings to you dear Beth.
I love the verse and picture you chose!!
Yes, we need to walk the straight and narrow path…not veering to the left or to the right, but always following our Lord and Savior.
He will show us the way…and He will surround us with those walking the same path…for encouragement, growth in Him, and accountability.
Beth
Amen! I just love to be with people who have positive outlook in life, people who encourage me and rebuke me with love:)
Thank you for stopping by my blog.
Blesings!
I just subscribed to your new home. I love what you did with this photo.
Thanks Sista!
Great scripture with a great point. We must be careful that we are traveling down the straight path with like minded people. Many blessings!
A very good verse. Proverbs has a lot of good verses for us to live by.
You make a good point, that we need to be careful who we bring close to our hearts. There are a lot of people that come across our paths and may be in our lives for a reason and a season, but who we bring close to our hearts is a different ball game. Thanks for that verse and great reminder!
A lovely picture and lovely reminder of the truth of the verse.
What a good word!! It is SO true! Wait! God’s word is always good and true! lol 🙂
But this is such an important reminder to all of us. I have recently watched dear friends fall due to surrounding themselves with non-believers and nominal Christians… We need to be so careful. Be in the WORD, KNOW the WORD!Then surround ourselves with those who will keep us accountable, encourage us through God’s truth.
Beth I LOVE your new look!!!
Hi, Beth, this is an amazing post.
This verse has served me most of my life, in one way or another. Mom always told me we were judged by the company we kept.
Love your pretty blog.:)
xo bj
It’s a message we all need Beth! May I be a “woman of integrity…” and follow His path always. Thank you for this one! I LOVE, LUV, LOVE the image too!! So beautiful!!
Yes I do agree with you on that. We need to be careful who we choose to communicate with, but we also need to be willing to reach out to those who desperately need Jesus in their lives.
Love the picture!!! I’m following you…looking forward to getting to know you better thru our blogs!
I love that passage in The Message and the graphic you chose to go with it is just perfect!
I love this Beth! And great version choice! 🙂
Love, love, love the photo. It’s a wonderful way to visualize the powerful verse chosen. May we all live lives of integrity!
Oh I need to go read the post you linked to but I am about to shut my computer and head to work! I love your caution to be careful who we bring close.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Happy WFW!!
I love the new blog look Beth! Great photo too and a wonderful passage you have shared here from Proverbs! So important to stay yoked with those who are on the same path!
Blessings,
Trudy
I like your new blog! What made you do the switch to WordPress?
This post is so true. When the kids were little there was a space of about two years where they weren’t allowed to play with two of the neighbor kids.
These kids were very disobedient and disrespectful to me (and to their parents) so I didn’t want my kids to associate with them. You don’t want your kids taking on those characteristics.
What a cute picture to illustrate these wonderful words of encouragement. Delightful for Word-Filled Wednesday!
Blessings Beth…WOW girl, you’ve been busy today!
Love this beautiful painted photo of Princess (really?)!!! It does look like her but it’s not really a photo. But what a great message and truth! We DO need one another! So this is why I’m HERE:
“…to join the company of good men and women,
keeping my feet on the tried-and-true paths.
(WFW) (in God’s Word)(oh yeah)
It’s the men who walk straight who will settle this land, the women with integrity who will last here. The corrupt will lose their lives; the dishonest will be gone for good.” (The Message)
Isn’t that just what we see happening around us? But sadly, many GOOD are being corrupted and taken also. We are in a time of great trials.
We better be here for one another. Thank you for pointing us toward Christ and His truth! You GO GIRL!!! Rejoicing in the company I find over here.
Love and peace,
Peggy
Thanks for your early visit and encouragement to start my day! Praise God!
Peggy, you sweet thing. Yes, that is a photo of my daughter. Ha. I just used the “effects” button in photobucket to tweak it a little. :o)
Love ya friend!
Beth
A good word for each of us– and for our children.
Taking time to know our children’s friends, discussing relationships, communicating so that we can give guidance– May God give us wisdom and grace.
Lovely message.
I love that, Beth. It reminds me of your sweet little girl. Thanks for an encouraging verse.
Thanks Cathy. Ha, that IS a picture of my sweet little girl. :o) It was taken of her last weekend at the beach. I just used some picture effect on photobucket to make it interesting.
Bless you and thanks for commenting.
Have a wonderful day!
Such a good word of Truth! Only yesterday I was talking with a high school senior who questioned me about this very topic. She has both Christian and non Christian friends and needed wisdom. I told her she needs to have a firm foundation in her faith; to know what and why she believes what she believes. She also needs a group of believers to be accountable with and for encouragement and support. But we are called to share the Gospel with others and that can’t be done if we remain isolated from others.
I love what you did with this picture. How did you do that?
Blessings and love to you my friend,
Debbie
