Today I link with Peggy at Amazing Grace~Mazes, Messes, Miracles to celebrate the Lord through scripture, picture, or song.
I chose Does Anybody Hear Her by Casting Crowns because someone recently shared with me how it felt to be in a small town and be the subject of gossip — even from her church “family” … She needed help, but received a good dose of judgment.
I challenge each of you (speaking to myself as well) to look around your church today and find someone who seems lonely and lost.
WOW…That young girl was me. That entire video is like a flashback to my teenage years. sigh….Father God, thank You for loving me so much and taking all the pain, all the hurt and all the abuse far from my spirit and replacing it with Your lavish love, forgiveness and hope! amen amen amen
even from her church “family” … She needed help, but received a good dose of judgment.
I too have experienced this and I need to keep reminding myself that Jesus was persecuted, attacked, had lies said about Him, by His VERY OWN.
Awesome Super Sunday beloved Beth..((hugs))
Beth,
That was an eye opener.
Thank you for sharing today. I have never heard that song nor seen the video…Great song and video.
Beth,
Boy do I understand this woman’s pain! And thank you for posting about it and placing the challenge before us, my sister.
When we open our hearts and tell of the wounds and the hurt and the temptations before us…we need compassion and the Word and the arms of a sister or brother in Christ to enfold us..not judge us!
What a powerful post my friend. I’m so glad to be your sister and I
I had a few patients in that same situation last night, it is so sad and I have such compassion for them yet thinking I still have my own running I am doing??? That sound says so much when put to video, I love casting crowns.
btw, the slippers on my feet are like a filipino thing when you go to their house you take your shoes off and get a pair of slippers, I had to laugh because I see Tito has two different colors…lol
I love that song as well as the idea of reaching out to those who might be lonely, you never know.
Thanks for sharing this.
great post!! I will be coming back to your blog, and I thank you for visiting mine!
Hi Beth!!
This video and song so very much remind me of my own daughter and a friend of hers. Every time I hear this song they are brought to my mind.
Peggy is ill today, so I’m visiting for her and myself!! She would have definitely stopped by except for this illness.
An awesome Super Simple Sunday!!
Beth
Blessings Beth…Profound words and a great challenge every time we gather. I love Casting Crown and this song was the first I heard from them that drew me to listen more to their deep messages to the
church. Your video selection was very touching! I'm glad Beth conveyed my message but I'm slowly making the rounds! may you have a SUPER SUNDAY & fresh start to a new week! Thanks!
This song always brings tears to my eyes…it makes me think of my daughter who is not making good choices right now. My daughter is a prodical and is running from God and our family. I know in HIS time He will return her to Him and restore our family!
Thanks for sharing,
Darlene
Wow..what a heavy video! It’s so true though. You never know who is really hurting at church and needs someone to talk to. Thank you for that reminder. It’s so easy for us to be in our little bubbles at church….
Great song! Casting Crowns is one of my favorite groups!
This is one of my favorite Casting Crowns songs!

Great weight loss documentation Beth…I love that…. I am motivated again- for another week.
weight watchers is awesome isn’t it?
I really love that song, what a reminder to all of us that there are people put in our path that need love and acceptance just as Jesus gave to us. -Blessings, Laurie
Thanks for sharing today my friend! I love this song. What a challenge to all of us. May we not forget to be His arms & hands.
Take care my friend! I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately. It's been a crazy few days. I hope you and your family are doing well!
May you have a blessed Sunday, Beth. We had potluck this noon, and everybody just having sweet fellowship with one another. 🙂
So true. Truth be known there are probably more lost and alone at church than anywhere. Everytime I get a good dose of Judgement I check out Matt. 7. It helps me for the next time when it is me who is tempted. Love that video.
I’ve never heard of this song before! I LOVED it! Thanks for sharing!
