Don’t you hate it when you double-book and have to be two places at the same time? Well, it is impossible (unless you own a cloning devise). Sigh.

I schedule my hair appointments 7 weeks in advance. I even write them on my little calendar that I keep in my purse.

Last week I received an email from the parent of one of my daughter’s classmates. Great fun, a BIRTHDAY PARTY! It is scheduled for this morning at 11am. Not a problem! My Princess has been missing her friends so this will be perfect! I responded to the email, “Yes, we will be there!”

I told my parents yesterday, “I have a busy day tomorrow! Party in the morning, then off to get my hair cut & highlighted, then swim lessons …” My Mom added to my list of things to do (thanks Mama) by placing an order for me to go to the bank for them.

ANYWAY — you can imagine my panic (late yesterday afternoon) when I realized my hair appointment was 30 minutes before the party started! Scream! I should have checked my calendar.

See these roots? The pool has made my blond REALLY BLOND. Ok, so you can’t tell too well from this picture, but trust me … it is bad. God bless the sweet lady who has cut my hair for years. She is coming in at 9am to fit me in this morning to fix THIS:

So now I can get my hair “done” and my Princess can attend THIS:

And in a few minutes I’ll have to wrap up THIS:

Tomorrow Princess (social butterfly) will have a play date with her buddy Landon. I couldn’t resist buying him THIS:

Ok, hang on tight. I am going to spin this post around to a totally different direction because I’m random that way …

Last night I was reading in my “God Sightings – One Year Bible” and read THIS:

2 Kings 13:20-21

Elisha died and was buried.

Now Moabite raiders used to enter the country every spring. Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man’s body into Elisha’s tomb. When the body touched Elisha’s bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet.

This is especially interesting to me since poor Elisha died of some infirmity. Verse 14 states, “Elisha was suffering from the illness from which he died.” Yet his bones brought a man back to life? Amazing! Can you imagine being the Israelites who threw a body into a tomb to see it stand up?

I just had to share!

Who can understand God’s ways? Even as our pastor pointed out on Sunday — Elisha asked for a DOUBLE PORTION of what Elijah had.

Elijah was taken up to heaven in a chariot of fire! He didn’t experience death.

Elisha died of some illness — yet his bones brought life! That is interesting to me.
