I am linking with The Gypsy Mama for her 5 Minute Friday Meme. She provides the “topic” in the form of one WORD and we write about it for 5 minutes with no editing or critiquing.
Today’s word: ROAR
Start 6:19am
When I hear the word ROAR I immediately think of the Lion of Judah. I also think of the scripture that states satan roars LIKE a lion, seeking whom he may destroy. He roars to scare us, but he ISN’T the lion. He imitates the Lion of Judah. He is a counterfiet and tries to be like the only TRUE God.
I also think about my friend Chrisie who is an artist. I would love to share two of her paintings on here, but since it is only after 6am, I better not call to ask her permission. She does prophetic art during worship at different venues. One of her paintings is of the Lion of Judah with FIRE coming out of His mouth. The other painting is of the Lion of Judah with a tear dropping. Both are powerful. But ROAR makes me envision the piece with the flames.
The word ROAR makes me think of the anger and frustration I felt this week when dealing with a difficult situation. It was one of those times I just wanted to run away from my responsibility with my parents. Yes, run away and hide. God forgive me for even feeling that way.
I love being around certain friends of mine who make me roar with laughter! Laughter is definitely good for the soul.
Stop: 6:24am
1 Peter 5:8
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.Revelation 5:5
Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
Since I didn’t want to awaken dear Chrisie, I will provide a link to her art. Please CLICK HERE to see the two paintings I mentioned.
Have a blessed Friday everyone!

Thank you for your lion words (and your friend’s in paintings — I visited her site), especially your noting that Satan is NOT The Lion, he only imitates The Lion. A counterfeit lacking His power. Prayers for you in your frustrations of this week.
love all the different ways one can “roar”! Have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you for sharing Christie’s beautiful work! I like the pic you used and also your short “Roar” post!
I’m glad you went over to check out her work. She is awesome — and you can order prints for yourself.
You are soooo funny! I am awake now…so I give you permission! Just include the website addresses for each painting:)

Love you!
I love how one word can create so many different thoughts emotions that are polar opposites.
I love to roar with laughter. And yet how infrequently does that happen?
