The other day I watched a video of a fairly “famous” (if I should use that word — perhaps WELL known) Christian woman. She was talking about the “don’t ask/don’t tell” situation. She was very kind and chose her words carefully. Under her video, people who claimed to be homosexuals were flagging her for “PROMOTING HATRED.” To me THEIR comments were promoting hatred.
Suddenly I felt like I was living in the Left Behind series. Sometimes we get numb to what is happening around us.
Christians, have you noticed that other religions can desire death to those who don’t believe like them, but WE can’t discuss what God’s Word says without PROMOTING HATRED? Am I the only one who can see persecution coming closer and closer to America? Even more than we have already allowed?
The Word of God is truth, whether it offends or not. WE aren’t the authors of the Bible. It is God inspired.
Last night I decided to start reading in Romans and this is what I stumbled upon:
Romans 1:25-32Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen (so be it).For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one,And the men also turned from natural relations with women and were set ablaze (burning out, consumed) with lust for one another–men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong-doing and going astray, which was [their] fitting retribution.
And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over to a base and condemned mind to do things not proper or decent but loathsome,Until they were filled (permeated and saturated) with every kind of unrighteousness, iniquity, grasping and covetous greed, and malice. [They were] full of envy and jealousy, murder, strife, deceit and treachery, ill will and cruel ways. [They were] secret backbiters and gossipers,Slanderers, hateful to and hating God, full of insolence, arrogance, [and] boasting; inventors of new forms of evil, disobedient and undutiful to parents.[They were] without understanding, conscienceless and faithless, heartless and loveless [and] merciless.Though they are fully aware of God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them themselves but approve and applaud others who practice them. (Amplified Version)
Isn’t the Word of God clear? People exchange the TRUTH for a LIE.
God gives us direction for a reason. There are consequences for our choices. Satan sets us up – big time.
So many times we feel like we were born a certain way — born with certain traits, etc. But I have found even in my own life that satan is tricky and has had a lot of practice. He doesn’t speak to us in 3rd person. We hear in our mind, “I like this” not “You like this.” So many just assume that those are their own thoughts. Without God’s Word as a compass they follow whatever voice they recognize as their own.
Continue to speak the truth in love. God loves people. He wants to see the captives set free.
Don’t be silent.

I think the majority of Christians
are just too apathetic toward the
things going on in the world. If
their little lives are going
smoothly then they don't take the
time to intercede for our nation

a "Me, myself and I" mentality.
God is not going to heal our
land until HIS people get serious
and get on their knees and pray
about these serious issues.
I agree! It's Gods word, and it doesn't matter if you don't like it or not!! But…I would never promote hate against someone because they are gay or bad mouth them! ( I'm not talking about you here) I can tell them what the Bible says, but I can't make them follow it. There is a difference between teaching and judging, and ONLY God is the judge!!!

I've had this almost exact same conversation with my hubby lately…tired of the double standard, where we feel like anything and everything we do and say can be held against us. Yet, we were warned by Jesus "in this world, you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer…also, if the world hated Him, it will hate us". I told my hubby the other night that our reaction should be like the disciples when they were persecuted for speaking the truth boldly "Lord, consider their threats and make us bold" – that's when the whole place shook and the Holy Spirit baptized them with fire! We need the fire! Love ya
Romans is the go-to place for tricky worldly stuff. Talk about politics, look what the Liberal Left is doing to my state of AZ at such a crucial time for us. Makes me angry.

Believe me–you're NOT the only one that sees the "flip-flop" our nation is going under. It's like a parallel universe, or something. Well–no–it's right about what the Bible tells us to look for. I believe we are feeling the "birth pangs" and have been for a long time, but now–when knowledge is being increased daily, we see things like we always knew to be wrong being called "right". I wonder how long will our country go before it finally will bow down and repent and worship the God of our Fathers? Or will it never do it? It breaks my heart. One thing we know–one day–EVERY knee shall bow, whether those people want to or not.
I also read you had seen Jim Bakker and his wife on TV again. I saw them, too. More money-making scams? For a "gift" of $100–he send me a "free" mini-trampoline?? Couldn't believe it would be allowed!
You know–another sign of end times is that people will forgo eating meat–and isn't that happening a lot! So many things are happening, just like the Bible tells us.
