My husband was craving some mountain air, so we headed west for a few days. Little did we know God had us on a special mission.
As we were arriving in town we met one of our friends. When we asked how he was, he shared that he and his wife were ending their marriage. Of course we were SHOCKED! They always seemed so happy together. They seemed to be two peas in a pod.
We pulled away from our “chance” meeting with me wiping my tears. My husband and I started to count how many couples have divorced since we married 21 years ago. In just a few minutes we counted 40 couples! I HATE the fact that satan has stolen another marriage!
My “Boaz” had the idea that perhaps God had sent us up there to pray for this couple, so he invited them over for a meal.
It is a BIG mess. Please pray for the protection of LIFES in Jesus’ Name. God knows this couple and this situation. Please pray as you feel led.
Thank you!
Dwight and I have counted up all the break ups just since we got married in 2003 and it is so very sad.
Divorce is just seen as an easy out too often today. Nobody wants to work at marriage anymore.
Praying for the restoration of this couple's marriage. Divorce seems to be so common in these days, even among Christians To me that is shocking. I hear people say that they fell out of love. Excuse me, but love is a choice. In love is the in lust time. It's not easy to love another but with the Lord's help it is so possible. So sorry to hear this and yet I'm so glad you have your "Boaz".
Love,
Debbie
Praying…I was just praying a little prayer our parish priest (who has left us for a sabbatical..sigh sigh sigh)…
Jesus, Mary, Joseph. We love you. Save us. Save all family's. I think upon the precious Holy Family…such an example of love, such an example of a marriage so beautiful and sacred.I was praying to our Father God this morning and thinking how He must hurt to see His children this way, so much brokenness, so many broken families..made me so sad..
It is heartbreaking.
Storming the heavens with you,
andrea
I will definitely pray for your friends as well as all who are contemplating divorce.
You are so sweet to invite this couple for dinner and praying for them. My husband and I are married 39 years and hope for wonderful results for this couple, according to God's will.
It is so sad. I'm the youngest of 5 girl in our family. When I got married I was the 9th wedding for my parents. Who had celebrated over 50 years of marriage. It is a sad world.
praying sis, love you.
Praying……
Most of our friends that married years after us are all divorced. It is so very sad and frustrating for us. My dear, dear friend is currently separated and is planning to divorce her man. I am just sick. This will be her 2nd divorce and she's only 36! She has 3 daughters and I cry thinking of what they are learning from her example. I will pray for your friends and please pray for mine..Tanya and Chris.
Thanks friend!
Much love!
Lisa
Glory be to God for His gift of discernment. Praying that your time with your friends will minister to that area of their marriage that needs healing. May the Lord bless them and protect you both as you share His love and restoration. God bless you sister!
I pray that they find God's Path for their lives.
Mimi
My heart breaks for your friends' marriage. I am praying that God would bring healing and restoration.
I am the youngest of 5 children and 3 of the 5 of us had ended their marriage with divorce. My husband and I and my brother and his wife are the only two couples left with a marriage intact. Divorce is hard on everyone. I will pray earnestly for your friends, and for you and your husband to have wisdom in comforting them at this difficult time.
