I’m really not a fickle woman. Trust me. I’m a happy type of gal. So with that said — most of you remember when I had my daughter’s room painted, right? It was yellow originally and we changed the color to PINK.
Ok, I told my friend Clay (owner of a painting business) when we picked this beautiful color that it was REALLY stretching me. I like a lot of neutral, peaceful colors on the wall. But against my instincts, I gave my daughter a sea of PEPTO PINK that she desired.
Well, today is the final straw! I can’t take it anymore. I just cannot look at that bright pink from our den any longer. The sweet painter who came just a few months ago (ha) is coming back to paint the wall that can be seen from our a den a nice very light shade of sage green. It will blend with the colors in our den and still match the room of Miss Princess.
Pictures of the new and hopefully improved view from my den will follow. Stay tuned …
Good, catchy title there sister! Thought you had an eye infection! LOL…Little did I know that something is making your eye SORE…
Sage green sounds great too! Can't wait when you share your future post when the painting project is done…I'll be prepared when I see the title "Going Green" then I know what you mean, you're not recycling but the painting is done. 🙂
Have a great Tuesday…God bless.
That is funny! Now that we are in a ranch I'm trying to figure out how to give the girls what they want and still flow with the rest of the house. I can't wait to see the new pics.
I thought you had pink eye too!! Ha! Can't wait to see the new room makeover!! Hope you are having a womderful week.
Wonderful week…. I can't spell this week have mispelled words a dozen times I think this week.
Oh my! can't wait to see more pictures of the new makeover!
I love green! I am sure it will be stunning!

White is the color of perfection.
How cute that will be. I love green and pink. Whom I kidding I love me some green in any shade…even lime green.
Hmmm…wondering if I love green so much because I have so much envy in my heart when it comes to my heart's one true desire.
Love,
Paula
you are too funny, but I would be the same way. Cute picture. i love green…can't wait to see it.
True wisdom here from a great mommy and classy decorator!
Oh Beth, leave that baby's room alone! Doesn't she adore it or does it not matter to her?
I love the Pepto reference!
smooches,
Larie
Awwwww, is she okay with the change? Just curious. =0)
It's only paint! And if she's okay with one green wall…..
You're funny!
It's funny Beth because the background on your blog is PINK! LOL. Maybe you really do like pink. The green reminds me of a commercial on TV where the parents heard that green is calming. When they paint the room, the kids are quietly reading. Hmm …maybe. But I have the feeling your daughter is very well behaved.
I am glad to hear that you don't have pink eye but you truly have pink in your eye!
I love pink but a room full might be a little much even for me…the one who has a sunshine yellow guest bathroom (that was my big stretch). LOL!
Can't wait to see the Princess Bedroom Makeover!
((hugs))
I wholeheartedly agree with Proverbs 27:19!!!! Don't paint the wall green…it's a lovely, special pink (not Pepto) room…the Princess loves it!!! You could always shut the door and then you wouldn't see it from the den. I love the room just the way it is…
Of course, I know by now that dear sweet friend will have that wall painted sage green in no time despite my pleas to the contrary 🙂
Love ya, Conkie
OHHH..I love sage green!!! It's going to be soooo pretty in there!!
Can't wait to see the paint job!!!
Had me a little concerned…I thought you had Pink Eye! Oh, that would have been no fun! I completely understand what you mean about the pink wall color. I, too, like more subdued tones. Abby's room is purple and it's been driving me bonkers for 4 LONG years! Can't wait to see the redo!
but pink is sooo pretty!! haha. I totally understand… my daughters room has been purple for years and I think in dire need of a makeover.
I think the pink will be lovely with the sage green. It will be sort of like lemon and pink sherbet!
Oh, and I thought you had pink eye too, lol!
I like the pink but then again, it isn't in my house either. I'm def. more like you in liking lighter, neutral colors. Our formal dining room was recently painted red and it pops you right in the face when you walk in the front door. I like it though!
I like the pink too. But I know what you mean about the colors needing to go together from one view of a room to another.
The picture of the princesses is adorable!
Sister Beth, just want to thank you so c'mon over if you have a chance.
It sounds like the perfect solution and it will be gorgeous.
Oh Beth the pink in the photo with all the little princesses looks so pretty but I guess if you have to stare at it too long it might be too much. I cannot wait to see what it changes too!
BTW I am having a Gift a Way at my blog. It starts today and I already entered you as a follower the more times you visit and the more comments you leave gets you another chance! I know you'll love the prize.

Your post reminds me of the wedding in Steel Magnolias
How fun! Even though pink is my favorite color; I don't know if I could do the whole paint in pink thing. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
I know it will be lovely.
I know it will be lovely.
I love paint and I am known to change colors like you. Sometimes color is too much. Especially when it's not you.
🙂
Hope you enjoy the tranquil green.
