I know, I have TWO picture posts in a row, but I wanted to share our 2010 gingerbread house.
Some of you saw these photos on facebook, but I wanted to share with my bloggy friends.
Enjoy!
I’m so excited. My friend Katherine taught me how to make butter cream icing! My princess thoroughly enjoyed it! Can you tell?
There were many pictures in between, but here is the finished product. You can click on the pictures to enlarge. I’m trying to beat off the hungry people who want to start nibbling!
Here is a shot of the back door. We could have decorated the back side a little more.
Here is a side shot …
Aerial view (ha). Can you tell I made a peppermint chimney?
On another note, I wanted to share this song with you! When I found out the history behind this song it really touched my heart. I heard on K-Love radio today that the creator of this song, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, wrote this song while on the battlefield in the civil war on Dec. 25th, 1864. You can find more information HERE.
Enjoy this rendition by Casting Crowns~
What a BEAUTIFUL gingerbread house! I really need to do that with my kids. Such fun! And your daughter is STILL darling (like I expect that to change any time soon LOL)
Oh so much fun and so cute!!
We made cookies this weekend, and will probably made a ginger bread house next weekend.
Thanks for sharing the joys!
Just look at that creation! Paula Deen would be bothered! You know, my girls and I tried to make one a few years back and it was a disaster from start to finish, but we sure had fun trying!:)
LOVE Casting Crowns!
