That quickly?
The weeks of preparation …
Thoughts and images swirl through my mind. I see pictures of my Mom who appears to have slipped into an even more difficult place. Pictures of beauty contrasted with gluttony and sorrow.
PEACE ON EARTH is what I read as I peak over the screen of my lap top — a new ornament given to us this Christmas — facing me as I type.
Peace …
Peace. It seems to elude so many people I know.
Generational curses and sin handed down on a familial platter — unrecognized by so many because of their lack of relationship with the Lord. They suffer from lack of knowledge — spiritual knowledge — heavenly KINGDOM knowledge.
Some have the knowledge yet hold tightly to things they need to release …
Jesus is the answer.
He can totally turn around lives and situations.
Sometimes I forget just how much the Lord has healed me.
Sometimes I forget where and what I came from.
There is LIFE and FREEDOM in Christ.
There is soundness of mind in Christ!
There is peace in Christ.
Peace.
It seems to elude so many people I know.
Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Do you need that peace?
Does it seem to elude you?
Jesus stands at the door and knocks. Will you meet with Him?
Revelation 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and He with Me.
Christmas does go by so fast after all the hustle & bustle…it would be a real let down – IF it were just about the stuff. Thank God I have His peace today! It’s the gift that keeps on giving, always there for me if I choose to accept it. I woke up this morning and heaviness was waiting for me, but so was peace – I chose God’s peace today. Love you girl!
Jesus is the only way to have peace with God and fellow man. How thankful I am to have His gift and I don’t take it for granted. There are so many people in need of this peace. May we continue to shine His light in this dark world.
Blessings and love,
Debbie
The Prince of Peace came for all men, for all time. He promises that He will bring us peace. I am so thankful that I recognize Him, that I truly understand that only in Him will I find perfect peace.
You are so right. I chose my one word for the new year and it is Love. I figure with that as my foundation all the other things, including peace, will follow.
Loved this post. I am back to regularly visting and writing. Come back by and say hi. I am reading the Bible through this year come and join me!
Happy New Year!
