Saturday night my husband took our daughter to their first Father-Daughter dance. She was SO excited! Sorry for the fuzzy photo, she was moving and I was using my iPhone.
Here she is right BEFORE her daddy saw her. She was excited about the BIG reveal!
She and her Daddy matched beautifully. Is that a proud lookin’ Daddy or what?
At the dance, they made crafts, had a message about the role of fathers, played games, and enjoyed food & drinks. And of course they danced and learned some new dance moves too.

Last week our daughter had her first AND I PRAY HER LAST cavity filled. My husband had asked me what time her appointment was, but I had no idea that he would come walking through the door once she was in the dental chair! What a blessing to have such support from her father!
Our child had mommy and daddy sitting at the end of her chair talking to her and watching every move.
I could just cry when I think of the love my husband sows into our daughter’s life!
How can she have any doubt about the Father’s love when her earthly daddy makes her feel so special?
Ephesians 3:17-19
…And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
My husband and I intentionally try to build up the children in our lives. We encourage them to be all they can be. The sky is the limit! I can’t speak for my husband, but I didn’t receive much encouragement as a child. I want our daughter to understand that she can be anything and everything that God calls her to be.
Please remember to speak life and destiny over your children (or the children within your sphere of influence). You are building foundations with your words.

Awe, what a precious moment. Something your daughter will remember forever. I grew up in a non-Christian home and around mostly negative words. I did not have that type of love from my earthly father. So thankful my Heavenly Father lavishes His love on me!
Thanks for commenting Barbie. I felt loved by my Daddy, but never heard words of encouragement (that I can remember). I don’t think I ever heard my parents call me beautiful or smart growing up.
I’m thankful our daughter will have this.

What a special memory I had as I read this. My husband took our daughter to a special dance as well, such a precious time in my daughter’s life. She’s married and has a child of her own now and sowing the Father’s love into his life. Thanks for sharing, I just loved your post!
