I just posted this “note” on my facebook account and thought I’d just transfer it to my blog as well. I think it says it all. But let me just add one more thing. It is a shame that I can’t enjoy the miracle of our first black president. If it had been anyone else …

In Light of the Elections
I have been awake since 12:30am. I immediately rushed to the computer to see who won the presidency. I saw it, began to weep … dumbfounded that people would choose the god of mammon over the precepts of the Living God. Their economy was more important than the lives of the innocent. I really am speechless and so grieved. As I sat here, somewhat in shock, I suddenly saw everything get darker. I literally saw this in the natural. People have no idea what they have done. It is so clear to some, and others just see the perspective of the world. I believe they bought into the “change” mantra vs. taking a stand for what was right. I am sorry if my opinion stings … it isn’t meant to hurt anyone. I’m sure I have dear friends who voted for this man, though I will never understand why. But I will never be silent again. I should have done more, said more, loved more, offended more perhaps. I feel just like the generation who allowed prayer to be taken out of schools. I have sat here and watched one of the biggest doors of evil open in this country.

Well, one thing is for sure. The true Church will have to arise now. Matt Sorger’s email below just confirmed what I was hearing. And I am thankful that I didn’t have to hear Barak say, “All American’s are one, including both gay and straight.” Uh no, Mr. President … there are some Americans left who stand out as a peculiar people, a royal priesthood. We hunger for righteousness and TRUTH.

I am going to have to tell my 3 year old that this man that she says is “mean” (Our Princess has discernment and can look right through people) is her new president and that to be obedient to God’s Word, we must pray for him.

Rise up Church of the Most High God!

As I sit here and watch the results of our election on the news, I am hearing it said that “A conservative era is over.”

I have made a decision tonight. My goal as a Christian minister in America is to teach Christians how to live the Christian life in the midst of a culture that is turning more and more away from the standards and morals that bring joy to God’s heart. My goal is to teach people how to stand for what they believe in, even if the laws endorse the opposite. My passion is to teach Christians to live holy in an unholy world. No matter what comes, we must continue to seek God with all our hearts, live completely for Him and continue to SHINE our light in the world and culture around us.

The darker it gets outside, the brighter our light will shine. There is a greater glory coming. Maybe that greater glory will be seen in the midst of greater darkness.

As I watch Obama’s acceptance speech and hear him say that all Americans are one, including both gay and straight (using those words exactly) I am deeply concerned in my heart for the direction our nation has just turned in. Change has come. Exactly what that means will unfold in the days ahead.

Even though I am concerned what will be endorsed in America in this new era, I know we must pray for Obama. We must pray for his salvation, wisdom to be granted from the Lord, and for our nation’s heart to turn toward God more than ever in this time.

Church, it is time to shine! Live the life you were created to live. When the world calls evil, good and good, evil, we must stand for TRUTH no matter what.

People may want CHANGE. But one thing that never changes, is the word of God. This is our standard. This is our foundation.

We will keep the faith, live for Jesus, and shine His light everywhere we go!
