I don’t want to cast my pearls before any swine … so if you oink … you need to leave. :o)
Do you ever put out a fleece — ask God for a sign or confirmation? I certainly do.
I finally had some alone time Friday night and was able to catch one of my favorite Christian programs. My spirit was stirred and I was able to cry out to God about my dreams … my heart’s desires.
For those who have followed my posts for a while have read about my desire to see people healed and delivered. It is just deep in my heart and I can’t let it go.
Again, I needed to know that God was still in this dream of mine …
Friday night I watched people get healed by the Lord and I wept on the floor. I have had this type of reaction for as long as I can remember. From the time I started watching testimonies like that, something deep in my spirit would well up in a way I can’t describe.
Yesterday we attended our church and I discovered that the message was about HEALING! (Thank You Father!) We missed last week (since we were in the mountains for the 4th) and I had no idea that we were having a “healing” series.
The entire message was awesome and I attempted to type up a synopsis for you, but I just couldn’t do it any justice. But there were two key points that really stood out to me!
1. Someone is always going to be there to tell you to BE QUIET! Someone will always try to stop you when you are calling out to Jesus! Read the story in Mark 10:46-52. It was this man’s persistence (though people were trying to shut him down) that brought his healing. BE PERSISTENT!
2. Speak to “your” sickness! This may seem like a foreign concept to you, but it reminded me of a conviction I have often felt in my heart. Don’t welcome a bad report, name it, buy it a home, feed it, and adopt it into your life. Ha. Does that make sense? I think of sickness like a demon. I don’t welcome “it” — that is for sure.
I know someone who told everyone she came in contact with, “I have ____ and ____ and ____ and ____!” The doctors said _____ could go into my organs and I could die.” She would confess it daily and not ONCE did I hear anything about LIFE and HOPE. Not only has she done this about her report, but about ANYONE’S REPORT she has heard. I have prayed AGAINST her words and her “conditions” for years. I just don’t want to come into agreement with her. Needless to say, I don’t tell her ANYTHING.
Proverbs 18:20
With the fruit of a man’s mouth his stomach will be satisfied; He will be satisfied with the product of his lips.
Our words are POWERFUL. We have the Holy Spirit living within us — the same God who created the world with His Words.
Proverbs 18:21
The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.(I came back to add this scripture after Joseph’s comment. Thanks Joseph!)
This message gave me a shake in one area that needed to be awakened. I have someone very close to me who has been diagnosed with high cholesterol. It is generational. Many people in this person’s family has this. I haven’t battled against it at all, “Oh — well the meds will keep it low.”
Yes, use the meds for now, but BATTLE IT and DON’T RECEIVE IT. I am thankful for medication and doctors. I believe God uses them too, but I’m talking about our confession and our hearts.
What was I thinking?!?!? I had received this person’s report. Well, no longer!
Our Pastor, Ron, was a new Christian and had recently read how he could lay hands on the sick and they would be healed. Soon after, he was face to face with a lady who had terminal cancer. He laid hands on her and she died.
What do we do if we walk in faith, lay our hands and the people aren’t healed? DON’T GIVE UP. Keep laying hands on others as God leads. Pastor Ron HAS seen people receive healing too.
I have experienced this myself. Here I have elderly parents who are not in good health. I have prayed for them for YEARS and trust me, it is a miracle that my Daddy has survived all of these years. He was given 3 years to live (around 12 years ago). But has he been “healed” on earth? NO. However, I have also laid hands on people and muscles have moved under my hands — femur bones have grown, demons have left, etc …
God is the Healer. It is HIS business who is healed. We are to follow God’s Word to the best of our ability — He is responsible for the rest.
Does everyone receive healing? NO. Does God love everyone equally? I believe so.
I always feel a bit fearful of sharing these type of messages because I know some of you are really battling some painful conditions out here in blogland. I will always believe healing for you and your family.
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
He was a Healer in the bible and is still the Healer.
What is my purpose in sharing this? I hope this might somehow change your perspective about bad reports.
I just located this old song “Whose Report” that I remembered from the 80’s.
His report says that I am filled!
His report says I am FREE!
His report says VICTORY!!!!
God bless each of you today!
Hallelujah Beth!!
I am in total agreement with your words here from the Lord. I am claiming a healing in Jesus' name. It is already done and I am thanking Him. I will be coming back to this post for more reference. Blessings to you dear one!
I love that song Beth and I have not heard it in a long time….great flashback for me. I first heard that song at World Harvest Church.
I am posting this for my friend Kela:
Hey Beth! I just read your fantastic post! I'm shoutin' hallelujah!! I'm trying to post a comment, but its not workin.
Healing, or believing the God will/can heal is a subject that is hard for so many of God's kids to comprehend.
It's so simple for my family and me to believe and find ourselves wanting others around us to "get it" like we do. We can always pray and keep speaking life.
You're right, we MUST be mindful who we share certain things with (sickness, money and God's leading).
Have a blessed week!!
Amen! Thanks for sharing His Word.
Right after 18:20 is the next great verse about that topic:
Prov 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
I loved your ending, whose report? Do we believe in God's report or in the report of the flesh?
A Pastor once said: "Joe, hold onto the word of God no matter what. The evil one will come in through the 5 senses of the flesh, and try to steal the seeds from you. Disappoint him! Regardless of what you experience, remember in God's kingdom, it is finished and it is coming, even if you don't see it yet."
Like the parable of the sower. The wicked one wants to come snatch that seed out.
Out of the blue one day, I'm walking down the hallway and my wrist had a shooting pain, starting from my pinky up to my elbow. It locked up my arm and fingers. The pain almost put me on my knees.
I couldn't use my wrist afterward. 3 days later, the shooting pain returned, this time I was concerned. It hurt bad. My wrist was out of commission for 2 wks. (no health insurance).
After 2wks, by the grace of God, I learned this lesson that you just mentioned. As Jesus told me to do, I spoke to the mountain. I commanded it to leave in the name of Jesus.
I prayed and believed. When I was done praying, the pain remained. The evil one came to steal the seed: "It didn't work". I responded: "NO! You are healed in God's kingdom. He cannot lie. I still feel pain, but this will not deceive me from God's word. It may not be in "my" timing. It is done."
I started to use my wrist, walked in it. Even tho the pain remained and I couldn't turn my wrist, I forced myself. Speaking against the pain and thanking God for the healing. "Greater is He that is in me than the pain that is of this world!" I WALKED IN MY HEALING and did not let the report of the flesh deceive me from God's report. The next day the pain was 1/2 gone. I kept on, I believed in my healing, I walked. I stopped babying my wrist. Another day later, gone. The senses still showed some soreness on the 3rd/4th day, but I kept believing on Him. Gone.
It's like a lady who was once barren. Dr. said no children. She was prayed over and after praying a couple of times, the pastor said "Walk in it. Go out and start picking out colors for the bedroom, pick up some clothing, get ready. You are having your child." The lady walked in full belief, preparing the room in the home, buying clothes, etc. 2-3mo later, she was pregnant.
This is a VERY good post Beth. It is important to believe fully in the word of God. But also, it is important to take action. "Pick up your matt and walk!" We can pray all day long, but if we don't walk in it, we'll remain on our matt, paralyzed, looking down at our legs saying "it didn't work." Some caution to the wind. We should not disregard God's blessings of Dr.'s or medication. Believe in the healing, but let the Dr. see it through. It is dangerous, especially without full belief/faith, to disregard medication. Be wise to the thief tho!
Just like the men w/ leprosy: 14 So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God,
This means that when Jesus said go, the healing wasn't noticed yet. It was their belief/faith: 'as they went'. They walked in belief – Faith. This is a powerful lesson.
Your obedience is wonderful Beth. Keep on keepin' on.
In love,
joseph

I agree with you 100% He calls the shots and we can not give satan the power.
I absolutely love what you said!
You spoke the Truth of God's
Word! Jesus paid the price for
our salvation to the fullest
extent and that includes our
healing and deliverance not
just saving our souls. By His
stripes we were already healed.
My husband and I have been healed
of many things through the years.
We are standing on the Word and
believing for our son's healing.
Keep getting the Truth out there.
I feel the same way you do about
wanting the Body of Christ to
receive the Truth about healing.
Satan has kept it in the dark
far too long.
Life and death is in the power
of the tongue!!
Hallelujah!
Thank you, Beth.
Blessings,
Sandy
Christ The Healer is a great
read for anyone wanting to
understand more about healing.
I'm once again reminded of why God linked us together from the very beginning – we are like minded in our quest to be used of God to heal & deliver those in bondage. Love ya
We are one in the Spirit, one in the Lord.. 🙂 Check out this awesome tune from youtube – http://serious-things.com/we-are-one-in-the-spirit/

Hugs and blessings
Loved this post sister Beth! The truth in it! Glory be to God, our Mightiest Healer. "The One Who pardons our sins and heals all of our diseases!!!"
No! I don't oink! I honk! [for Jesus! :)]
This is such a great post. I truly believe God to be a healer and its so awesome how He uses people to heal the sick and in turn He gets all the glory and praises!!! Great post!!! This is definitely a soul-stirring post!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Glad I'm not a pig. Needless to say your title caught my attention but I agree what all you've said. Glad to hear that you've had your dreams stirred up again. Blessings to you Beth!
Thank you so very much for this powerful, truthful post sis. I love you.
There is so much truth here. I am a firm believer that the LORD can and does heal people. I am living proof of one who was miraculously healed from a very bad sprained wrist. I have prayed with many people, and still am, into situations where they need God's healing touch. Even though we have not yet seen it, we believe it, stand in faith and never give up! He is the God who heals. And sometimes, He chooses to heal differently than we desire Him to. I love you girl. Keep bringing the Word strong!
If we believe every word in the Bible..which I do…then I believe He is the Same Yesterday, Today & Forever and He healed & performed miracles daily in the Bible & He is still in the business of Healing. AMEN
Love that song. Takes me back to my days of leading worship.
Hi Beth,
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog this morning! Sadly, there was an error when I tried to publish it. If it's not too much trouble, do you think you could leave me another one? Thanks! 🙂
— much love,
Lindsay <3
Yes, God is the God of restoration. He can and heal (or not), if it is His will, and also, so he will get the glory, and not man.
Let God's word be true, and every man a liar.
I love this post, Beth,..such inspirational post!! I agree with you 100%.
Love this song too!
God bless us all!
B xx
P.S.
I'm so proud I've added your site to my blog roll!!
I, too, believe God is still in the miracle working business. He is the Great Physician!
How awesome that the service was on healing!
I like that you mentioned the part about that person not being healed.
Clearly we are not God and we don't know His thoughts or His plans, but we know they are best. So we mustn't be surprised when His actions don't follow what we think should be, and trust Him to do what's best for all.
I love II Cor. 10:5 where it tells us to take our thoughts captive for Him. We can choose what to think, and we don't have to dwell on every negative thought or enemy lie that pops into our minds.
Love ya!
~ Nan
Amen, sister!! And yes! There IS power in the spoken word!
We should always be careful what we say and HOW we say it!!
Great post!!
