I just read two more awesome books this week. I just have to share!
The first book I read was “Unveiled” by Francine Rivers. It is the first book in a series about five unlikely women who changed eternity. This particular book was about Tamar (the daughter-in-law of Judah, son of Jacob). I can hardly wait to read the next one in the series: Rahab “Unashamed” … yay!
The second book I read was “The Atonement Child” yes, by Francine Rivers too. I am in love with Francine’s writing style. What a gifted woman!
I was so surprised that this was a pro-life book. I had no idea by reading the title and I NEVER READ THE JACKET (it gives too much away).
My sister-in-law started my love for Francine Rivers at Christmas when she gave me “Redeeming Love.” Ohhhhh, I read it in 3 days! An awesome story of love, forgiveness, and great healing.
I will keep these in my memory bank for future reading. Right now I am reading anything I can get my hands on by John O’Donohue. His writing is so deep and makes me think. But when I am finished with those books I will surely give these ones a look.
Beth,
I was touched by your kind comments and words of wisdom and honesty! You basically spoke my words…my convictions…my thoughts exactly. But the wonderful part is that it doesn’t have to remain so!
May the LORD’s richest blessings of a transformed life be within you and spill over onto those you really do love best!
shalom aleichem as you minister to your family AS UNTO THE LORD!(and upon me as well!) ;o)
Thanks for the reccommendations my friend, they sound awesome.
I will have to check out Atonement… thanks!
Thank you for your suggestions! I see these books are our library and with Spring break coming in a couple of months, I will need to check them out. :o) If not sooner! :o)
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
hmm not sure if i have read anything by her but i will put it on my list of reading suggestions!!!
I’ve not read any of her books, but they sound great! By the way, thank you so much for you most encouraging words on my blog!
Beth, Francine Rivers is an AWESOME writer – I completely agree with you – there is another author that I really enjoy reading as well – Karen Kingsbury! I love the way both of these authors use scripture in everyday issues! An encouragement for us all to actively put scripture in our hearts and lives as well!
I like to read, I just can’t seem to find time. But I may have to check these out.
Hello Beth,
There is a little something waiting for you at the Green Greek. Enjoy your weekend.
Beth, I read Redeeming Love and I’ve got you beat girl! Try 1 Day! We were on the road most of the time coming back from the in-laws so it was perfect timing. I stayed up past midnight that night to get to the end and cried like a baby! Awesome book. I’ll have to check out some more by her.
And if you don’t love to read you still might like reading these!
Oh gosh…I read Atonement Child some time ago. It was indeed a powerful book.
Hi Beth! Thanks for the heads up on the books! I’ve heard only great things about this author. I’ll have to read one of her books one day!
I love Francine Rivers, too! She needs to write MORE! 🙂
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Francine Rivers, she is incredible!!!
xoxo,
