Who is more lovely than Jesus?
He is my King, my Deliverer, my Refuge, my Rock, my Friend, my Brother and yet He is God. He intercedes on my behalf and I am grateful.
He is our beautiful Bridegroom. The One the Church will present herself to without spot or wrinkle.
Our Beloved.
He took our sin upon His back as the sharp objects ripped His flesh.
His blood covers us and makes us white as snow.
It is only the blood of One so spotless …
I don’t think I will ever forget the vision I had of Jesus. He was sitting on a grassy knoll across the river from me. When He saw me, He jumped up and was immediately next to me! He was full of excitement to see me and was interested in what I had to say. It was a precious vision to me and His face remains etched in my mind. He didn’t look thin and solemn like so many paintings, but had a fuller face with a big smile. I do hope to see Him in that way again.
He loves you and I’m sure He lights up when you spend time with Him too.
I would love to leave you with a song that has been on my lips for the past month. It is entitled Wounded One, from the OneThing LIVE Magnificent Obsession album. Here are the lyrics … feel free to sing along:
Wounded One
Words and Music by Davy Flowers
VERSE 1
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
The One who broke down the great wall of enmity, and gave me His name

What could I possibly give to You, but the fragrance of my

Holy is the Man of Sorrows
Destroying the works of the evil one, all with Your own blood
And mercies before and behind You, such beauty all around You
And how could I ever repay You, but with the fragrance of my

You are higher

It truly is amazing when I consider this:
“He loves you and I’m sure He lights up when you spend time with Him too.”
Jesus is so amazing!
Blessings and love,
Debbie
This is beautiful, Beth. I so enjoyed reading about your vision of Jesus. I had not heard this inspiring song either. Thank you! Coming to you from the Faith Jam:) Blessings!
Dear Beth
Nice to link-up with you at Bonnie’s! Yes, dear one, He loves listening to all we want to discuss with Him, just because He loves us. Even the smallest little thing that matters to us, matters to Him, because we are precious in His sight. My post, can you believe it, is also about an encounter I had with our Lord like your vision of Him that changed my life forever!
Much love
Mia
It is difficult to imagine that Jesus is anxious to hear what we have to say! He apparently was not looking for praise (which is excellent) but he is interested in YoU (and me) as a person. Great thoughts here and thanks for sharing.
