When I think of “new” I immediately think of the scripture: I am a NEW creation in Christ. ALL things are made new.
I needed and still need to be made new. The old Beth was horrible! When I think of the things I have said and done, I shudder.
Just yesterday I thought about some of my actions as a teen and I couldn’t understand WHY I would have even done those things. They are as foreign to me now as Mars! Proof that I am a new creature!
God’s Word says He gives us NEWNESS of life. We are new creatures with a new life!
His MERCIES are NEW every morning!
All of the references to “new” makes me think of a birth. Well, aren’t Christians born again? We are re-birthed in a sense?
We NEED this newness of life. We NEED a new chance. We NEED each new mercy that is given every morning or we would be stuck in the muck and mire of our past. Our past behaviors, our past addictions, our past sins would cling to us like old grave clothes.
I am grateful that I am MADE NEW. My youth is even reNEWed by the Lord.

I forget, sometimes, that I was made for NEW life, and I try to just do things the way I know how from the past. But in Christ all things are new, and every day is fresh.

Good Morning Beth! Thank you for the encouraging words today! It is awesome when the Lord brings us to what we need when we need it.
I was just discussing this same topic with my sister. Praise God for you and your message that helped us to remember we are created in a new and we can and do pray for renewing of the heart, mind, spirit daily to help us to walk in the ‘new man’

I am so thankful that I am continually be made new. I wasn’t just made new when I accepted Him into my life. But day by day, every moment of the day, He pours New grace and fresh oil over me!
