Wow, what a great weekend! I had the blessing of attending a free conference with Gary Oates! (If you’re unfamiliar with his ministry, click HERE.)
Yesterday morning Gary taught about visions and how to use a sanctified imagination. We had an exercise after the teaching and I had a wonderful experience with Jesus! I wish I could share everything with you!
The afternoon session focused on learning how to have a “word of knowledge” concerning healing. You all KNOW I’m all about HEALING and this was so informative! Our “exercise” was to be still and listen for God to tell us a word of knowledge. Gary said to stop the second we hear something and not try to change our minds. After everyone had something, he called some of us up to the front to share what we heard.
Picture this. Here I was in a line in front of the sanctuary. I had 5 or 6 people ahead of me calling out different ailments: stomach issues, heart valve, shoulder pain, back pain, etc … Each time an ailment was mentioned SOMEONE in the “audience” raised his/her hand and the people calling the ailment went to pray for him/her. Here comes the mic to me! (Shaking in boots.) My “word” wasn’t like the others (of course). I immediately saw a blonde haired woman having a wreck and her body was thrust forward into her air bag that was deployed. Gary Oates looked out into the audience and said, “Is that anyone here?” He began to scan the crowd. “Anyone?” he asked, “Did anyone have a wreck?”
Ok … immediately my mind thought of the movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off where the monotone teacher called role, “Ferris Bueller? Ferris Bueller? Ferris Buellerrrrrrr?” NOBODY raised a hand. I could hear crickets rubbing their legs together (lol).
Gary said he believed I was hearing correctly, but that it might be for someone coming to the night session. Sigh. Others came up to me afterwards and felt I saw something to pray against. I must say I was concerned after I saw my friend Angie (not the one you all know) because she had on the same color shirt as the woman I saw and IT LOOKED JUST LIKE HER FROM BEHIND. Oh dear! So I spent the afternoon canceling any scheme the devil had against this woman in the vision.
Last night’s session was focused on healing. Gary gave some awesome examples and some practical steps. We saw a LOT of people healed! I loved it! I would be very surprised if anyone who came for a healing left unhealed.
It was just a great time! If you ever get a chance to go see Gary Oates, I highly recommend it. This conference was free, but I spoke with some people who had just attended one of his meetings at Moravian Falls, NC — and they said the cost they had to pay was well worth it! They described their experiences at Moravian Falls as LIFE CHANGING.
The pictures were taking during the services.
Have a super blessed day!
I am all for healing and words of knowledge and prophecy. Sounds like you had a blessed time Beth.
This sounds like a beautiful and healing experience.
I love this Beth. I have experienced much and you have given me a nudge again as we have been in such trying times (physically) for way too long.
I did click on the website you provided and ordered a couple of things.
Thank you my beautiful friend for always being such an inspiration and encouragement to me. I may not always comment when I come here, but you can be sure that I am reading.
Love you,
Alleluiabelle
Sounds like my kind of conference! Good for you for stepping out. We move in this sort of thing all the time at our church. It's so cool to see how God uses little ole me and others in this way. Keep pressing in!
What a fulfilling day at conference! Love spiritual filled days spent in praise and prayer.
I would like to have been there,
too. Sounds like the Holy Spirit
was manifesting as He was being
glorified as the people were
receiving God's blessings.
Wonderful!
Hi Beth! I have to admit that I got a little tickled by Gary's last name. My boyfriend in high school had that same last name. Go figure! 😉
Your service sounds like it was incredibly powerful and uplifting! Ours was, too, yesterday! Our minister has been the senior pastor of our church for 33 years and he and his wife are leaving to take on a leadership role with missions. They will be deeply missed. It was neat, though, because 8 people got baptized! What a great way to start off this new chapter of their lives!
Came back by to give you a hug Beth!
somewhere, someone's thinking…I should have spoken up that day…that prophecy was for me, LOL Now, God knows you'll be obedient no matter what other's may think. Love ya
