Yesterday (yes the day before Mother’s Day) when I shopped for a Mother’s Day card, I couldn’t find any that said, “Mama” on the front. Down south, older generations call their maternal parents “Mother” — but most of us around these parts say MAMA. (I have seen others spell it as Momma and Mamma.)
Happy Mother’s Day to my Mama pictured here. She is just a shell of her former self, now down to 88 pounds if not less. God help her on this day after daddy’s funeral.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of you Moms and to those who want to be Moms I know how you feel and I pray you have strength today.
Proverbs 31:30
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
I pray my family sees me as a woman who fears the Lord. I pray I’m a blessing to my little family.
I’m sure your family sees you as a loving, caring, generous, merciful, loyal, genuine, awesome women of God…cause that’s how your friends see you too.
I know it has been a touch time for you, but you are truly a strong woman and I know that your family knows your strength comes from the Lord. Blessings to you and Happy Mother’s Day!
