Yesterday I was headed over to my parent’s house to drop off their groceries when a little old woman pulled out in front of me.
I slammed on brakes, throwing a big heavy watermelon right on top of my parent’s eggs! I missed the woman by a fairly decent distance, but the vehicle coming towards us missed her by inches.
I was on the phone with my buddy Angie (Laughter Does the Heart Good) when my daughter suddenly STOOD UP and said, “Mommy, I forgot to buckle my seat belt! I’m sorry!” Scream! She never leaves her buckle undone! Instead of discussing this with me while I’m going 50 mph down the road, “Sit down and buckle your seat belt” I barked.
Psalm 91:11For He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways …
Coming back from my parent’s house — on the SAME ROAD — I saw this guy on a bicycle coming out of the American Tobacco Trail (a pedestrian path). He stopped his bike and I continued down the hill (45 to 50 mph) and when I approached him, he pulled out in front of me! On a bicycle …
Tell me this. WHO CAN MISS MY BIG RED SUBURBAN? It isn’t difficult to see folks!
Thankfully my husband put new brakes on my truck a few weeks ago!
I slammed on brakes YET AGAIN. My anti-lock brakes were jerking us around and my pedal was down as far as I could push it.
I stopped within INCHES of this man! I’m not exaggerating. He must have felt the heat coming from my motor.
He didn’t have on a helmet either! This could have been a horrible scene!
He was in front of my truck and began to ride off to the other side of the path while saying something ugly to me. He didn’t say, “I’m sorry” though he could see my child’s balloon floating in my windshield. Instead somehow he was blaming me.
To err is human; to blame it on somebody else is even more human. John Nadeau
I was in shock! Seriously, these two incidents happened within 30 minutes of each other. I let down my passenger window to inform this man that HE SHOULD HAVE STOPPED! Then the tears began to flow as I praised God for protecting us YET AGAIN!
Hebrews 1:14Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
I was thankful that I had prayed protection over me and my family that morning. I also loosed angels to protect us.
THANK YOU FATHER!
Please remember to pray protection over your family each day.
Isaiah 54:17
No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from Me,” declares the LORD.
Thank goodness everyone was ok!!! I don't understand some people sometimes..they think everyone needs to make way for THEM! Always a great idea to pray for protection over your family! 🙂
I'm so glad you and your daughter are ok!
Don't ya just love it when people pull out in front of you, and they act like it was your fault?!
Praise the Lord!!! I'm so glad everyone is okay, Beth!

So thankful for God's protection over you and your daughther and all involved. I love how His angels come with us wherever we go.
I know you were surrounded by His ministering angels. Praise God everyone is OK.
I pray for safety every time we are out and about.
God is so amazing! Bless you!
Stopped by this morning but had to run fix breakfast for Andrew.
So thankful y'all are safe and God was watching over your truck. We had a similar thing happen a few weeks ago on our way back from visiting my family in Asheboro. We were on 40 around Gorman St., I was driving and a car in front of me (2 cars in front) had a tire blow out. All I saw was dust and brakes being applied quickly. A lot of traffic and an 18 wheeler behind us.
I was shaking like a leaf and teary-eyed by the time it was over. God was def. protecting us too. I gave thanks right then!
Glad you two are safe!
I have had some days where I begin to wonder if there's a target painted on my car! I'm so glad everyone's okay. Thank you, Jesus!
There are some days I feel like a moving target also. I love the scriptures you posted and pray them daily too for me and mine!
Thank God you are all ok Beth. You are so right, it is very very important that we pray God's protection over our families everyday.
blessings,
Vickie
