Today I link with Alicia at More Than Words to share some of my pre-digital photos. Today I thought I’d share a photo from our wedding rehearsal dinner. This is my Boaz, our friend Eva, and me. Can you say typical dress and hairstyle for 1989?!?!? I’m so thankful shoulder pads are out of style now. Whew!
My hubby is so cute!
I also link with Angie at Free Spirit Haven to share prayer requests on Fridays.
Will you join me in praying for:
- Ron, Alleluiabelle’s husband
- Those who are struggling financially who want to work, but can’t find employment.
- The elderly. Please pray they feel self-worth and that they continue to serve the Lord in whatever capacity they can.
- Those who are being persecuted for their faith.
- Those who are dealing with sickness and disease.
- Protection over pastors and Christian leaders who are in the front of the battle line.
- God’s Will to be done in America. I understand that certain things have to take place, but for the sake of our children … pray.

Ya, love the hair and the outfit girl. I was the perm queen back than,,lol.
Thanks for standing in the gap with me. Mr. Linky is up and running at the blog now..((hugs))
Y'all look exactly the same. I hope I can say that 20 years later.
Your parents do look like movie stars as Angela said. We just don't take pictures like that today.
Thank you for sharing your prayer requests and hope you are feeling better with each passing day. Happy 4th!

Happy Anniversary to your parents! Wow!
I love "old" pictures!
Hope you're feeling better, Beth! You'll be in my prayer list.
Greetings to your parent's 55th wedding anniversary!
Hey Beth! Your husband is cute. Just like his wife! I'm also thankful shoulder pads are long gone. I wonder who came up with those crazy things. LOL!
You are such a beautiful person, Beth. Always thinking of others. You inspire me to be a better person.
Love the photos of your parents. They do look like stars. Those days were full of class.
Hope you have a wonderful 4th! And I hope you're feeling better real soon.
Love ya,
Miti
Hello Beth,
That is a wonderful photo. You are both so cute. What an exciting time to remember…a wedding rehearsal dinner.
I love shoulder pad…they balance the chest of some of us girls, however, I did not like the “football-player” shoulder pads of some of the 80s dresses. The shoulder pads of the 40s/50s we quality work and complemented the figure nicely.
Happy Anniversary to your parents!
♥Hope
That is a great picture. I agree…may shoulder pads RIP!
What a gorgeous couple. Happy 55th wedding anniversary to your parents.
All the pictures are beautiful. Well, except for the shoulder pads and big 80's hair.
Happy 55th Anniversary to your parents. What a wonderful milestone.
Oh we are glad the shoulder pads are gone…notice that men's clothing doesn't really change…but ours are so different…marketing technique for sure. Your parents look like movie stars, I agree. Have a great 4th!
Oh my gosh, Beth…I was an owner of many pairs of shoulder pads! I remember putting them inside my shirts & jackets!! I remember thinking how much better I looked because of them!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahha!! Oh…and my friend had a shirt w/ a floral pattern similar to yours in the picture!! Well, it was 1989, and you were styli'!!! Love the picture! AND, I love the picture of your parents! Wow!! Those are gorgeous!!
Also, praying in agreement w/ ya, sis!
Beth,
I love the pictures, my sister. And I am in absolute agreement with you in prayer for Ron. He is always on the lips on my mouth being lifted up to the Master Healer.
I know the power of prayer…never let us cease. I am so grateful to you and the sisters in the blogosphere who never stopped praying for me.
Love you so much. Have a beautiful holiday, my friend, my sister.
I had a dress very similar to the one you're wearing, and yes, so thankful shoulder pads are out!

What gorgeous parents you have! No wonder you are so pretty.
Loved the picture of you, I ran out of time the day of my own rehearsal dinner and I was wearing a ratty old shirt and jeans as I didn't have time to change. Can you believe it?
Thank you for sharing these prayer requests!

I remembered taking off each shoulder pads from my clothes and using them as sponges for dishes! It worked quite well. Not sure why they ever got popular. Like Football players in fancy clothes! lol.
Happy 4th!
I am standing in prayer with you my friend. Happy Anniversary to your dear parents.
Hi Beth, thanks for your comment. I like your template, its nice.
Great photos!!! But I'm one of those that loved shoulder pads!! Well, my shoulders droop pretty much so, even now I have a few jackets that have very subtle shoulder pads in them….still wish some of the dresses, blouses still had them too!! :o)
Happy 4th of July!!
~Beth
LOVE your hair AND the shoulder pads! LOL I may have to break out a few pics of me with a perm back then!
Thanks for the prayers…claiming some of those for myself, and agreeing with you in prayer for the requests you have listed.

Happy Anniversary to your parents!
I wore lot's of shoulder ma-pads as we called them. I don't really need them either. I have pretty good shoulders without them.
I love your suit though. It is a perfect 1989 suit & you look great in it. Your Boaz looks very sweet and handsome.
So were you married in July as well?
Have a nice Sunday,
Nannette
happy anniversary to your parents!
i'm praying with you, beth.
