It is that time again! I’m joining Alicia over at More Than Words to share some of those “pre-digital” pictures that I have stashed away in albums.
Today, I decided to share one of my favorite childhood pictures (and memories). I remember this particular Christmas because of the cool doll (well plastic pieces with swiveling heads) house I received. If you look next to my knee, you can see the little plastic thing with a ball on top. That was one of the “DOLLS” that came with the house. I also loved the Ms. Beasley doll. My niece eventually ended up with her. I looked so happy!
Join in on the fun and scan some of those old photos. I hope you’ll click on the Friday Photo Flashback button at the top of this post and visit Alicia and all of the others participating in this great Meme.
I remember that doll and I have to tell ya, your daughter looks so much like your niece..WOW…You look so pretty!!
That is just sooooooooo cute! Ha! those colours in the pre digital pics, they did not really stay crips and strong LOL. Well, talking about colours, being 56 years old, if I was to dig out photos of myself at around the age you were as a little one … well, they’re all black and white pics with crinkly white edges around them …
I had a Mrs. Beasley doll. At least I think I did. I don’t recall seeing any pictures, but I know I must have had one. My fav was my Winnie the Pooh. My first Pooh ended up flattened with no eyes, no nose, no mouth – I obviously loved him a lot! My second Pooh was just as loved but I took care of him better. Isn’t it funny how one little picture can bring back a lifetime of memories!
Good morning Beth! I love your pictures…I can’t believe you had a Mrs. Beasly doll. I had one too! Your hair in the second picture looks like mine did about the same age. funny:)
Good morning Beth…I LOVE your photos this week. I didn’t have a Mrs. Beasly doll but I remember them from the show…(Brady bunch?) I can’t remember. Oh well…those are some great photos…and the second one..oh the hair…my best friend had hair like that in high school…oh the 80s.
Mrs. Beasley! Oh, I remember those! I didn’t have one, but I loved Buffy and Cissy and I always wanted a butler/nanny!
…and yep, your daughter takes after your niece…isn’t that funny how that works out? My oldest son is the spitting image of my youngest half-brother…too strange.
Happy Friday, my friend!
Awwww!! I love those kinds of pictures!! I have some like that w/ my sister in our jammies!
I never heard of that doll, but how sweet that you were able to pass it down to your niece!!
You’re so cute beth!! You still have the same face since you were little!!!!
I’m glad you joined in again!!!
you are such a cutie! 😀
Oh you were so cute with your long blonde hair!! I saw that doll and went “Oh, it’s Mrs. Beasley!” Haven’t thought about her or Buffy or Jodi, etc. for years….
Love your feathered hair and you’re right, your neice does look like your daughter.
BTW, I didn’t use rollers much back then, I relied on the blow dryer and my curling iron. And hairspray….just in case the wind got bad and I lived in fear of rain….
Super cute pictures. You are so adorable. Love the old pictures.
I remember those Ms. Beasley dolls. My cousin had one and used to hit me over the head with not! : )
Precious pics! How fast time flies! Thanks for sharing.
Not sure why I’m having trouble accessing your site sometimes. Even if I keep hitting the “refresh button.” God bless.
I have only been trying to get on your blog ALL day and finally!! No wonder you like participating in this meme…you have ALWAYS been beautiful! Posting these pre-historic pictures isn’t so easy for some of us 🙂
Beth, you have not changed much. Usually we don’t look like our childhood pictures, but I can totally see you! cute.

I loved ms beasley.
The doll is as big as you! Wow, you gotta love those old pictures! Polaroids! Woo-hoo!!
I think I’m jealous. I’ve always wanted a Mrs. Beasley doll. Although, I did have a Chrissy doll. The one where her hair grew if you pushed a button in the front, and shortened by turning a dial on her back. I still have her.
I love looking back at old photos.
You looked so happy…what a fun Christmas memory!
Oh, wow! I remember Mrs. Beasley. LOL! WOW! What a flashback! 😀
