Today I link with Amy at Signs, Miracles, and Wonders to share a song that touches my heart.
I chose LOVE CAME DOWN by Brian and Jenn Johnson.
Verse 1
If my heart is overwhelmed and I cannot hear Your voice
I hold onto what is true, though I cannot see
If the storms of life they come, and the road ahead gets steep
I will lift these hands in faith, I will believe
Pre-Chorus
I remind myself of all that You’ve done
And the life I have because of Your Son
Chorus
Love came down and rescued me
Love came down and set me free
I am Yours
I am forever Yours
Mountain high or valley low
I sing out and remind my soul
I am Yours
I am forever Yours
Verse 2
When my heart is filled with hope, and every promise comes my way
When I feel Your hands of grace, rest upon me
Staying desperate for You God, Staying humbled at Your feet
I will lift these hands and praise, I will believe
This week I found my Mom in bad shape. It has been a tough week where she is concerned. So yesterday was spent in a frantic race to make arrangements to get my Mom home. That is her heart’s desire. Please pray for her as you read this.
Even in the midst of what was difficult. Even though this isn’t a path I would have chosen — God was there and He was guiding my steps.
Mountain high or valley low
I sing out and remind my soul
I am Yours
I am forever Yours
Yes, Lord! I am forever YOURS! I love you!

I am praying. So sad about your mom.
I am reminded of my own mom’s failing health.
Thank you Michelle. I appreciate your prayers. <3
When Love came down and rescued me…so beautiful!
Praying for your mom…and for you! He’s our Mountain moving, chain breaking, gasp giving God…and He’ll give you strength and peace! Hang onto His robe!
Amen! Thank you Julie!
Stay cradled in HIS arms and you can fight anything, Beth.
xoxo bj
Thank you BJ! <3
Oh Beth – please know I’m praying for you and your family, including your mom!!!
Thank you Kaye. I appreciate it!
Beth, This was just what I needed! Have had a busy and emotionally draining few days and came home to just sleep this afternoon. Then I got on my computer and hear Love Came Down. A soft, melancholy tune with such a powerful message.
I’m glad it blessed you Shanda! (((hugs)))

I will visit as much as I can. Bless you!
Blessings Beth (and mom)… His Presence is overflowing with sweetness to here from what you shared with me and that Presence surrounds you and your mom and dad and family… His Presence is HEAVEN to us! May you sense His LOVE come down and encompass you in this hard time and ‘in this valley’ be reminded of His strength, power and mountain moving faith. He never gives up, He is Jehovah Shammah… Jehovah Shalom… Jehovah Rapha… He is El Shaddai, El Roi… He is Yours and You are His, and He IS for your mom not against her. May you both find strength, comfort and peace as He goes before you and comes into your midst! He rejoices in the praise from your heart in the midst of the frantic race making possible your mama’s desires, He is ABBA! I pray that you are able to make all the arrangements and God continues to guide you and direct your steps.
Hold on Beth. Do all you can and then let Jesus take the wheel and do the rest… well, you trust and rest. I will continue to pray for you and your precious mom during this transition. Remember the praise keeps the enemy away and ensures God in your midst! I know He cares and is there, keep giving Him your burdens to carry. I hope your time before the rest wake up is blessed and restores you. Have a wonderful SONday soaking in His FOREVER LOVE!
Love ya’ girl… hang in there and worship our Lord,
Peggy
Thank you sweet Peggy! I appreciate your prayers and I agree that worshiping God is much needed medicine! Love ya back!
Oh my friend, I am sorry to hear about your mom. Praying all will come together quickly so that she can go home. I am asking God to give you strength and rest. May He wrap you up in His everlasting arms of love and grace.
Love this song. Brian Johnson is the nephew of my pastor and His wife!
Thank you Barbie. I am truly having to lean on God each step of this journey. (Cool about Brian!)
Beautiful song. I too will be praying for your mom. I lost my mom, unexpectedly 20 days ago. I shouldn’t say lost, for I know she is free and in the presence of God. So I will be praying for your mom, your family and for you.
Blessings,
Misty
I am so sorry for your loss Misty! (((hugs))) Thank you for your prayers!
