Yesterday started out like any December day, but an hour before we were supposed to leave for the staging area at the local Christmas parade, it started to SNOW!
We had asked some sweet people to ride our wagon with us and surprisingly only one family (oh yeah, and our nephew) backed out. Honestly, I would have backed out if I could have. Ha.

Here is another shot of us before we were wet, frozen parade participants. Ha. The lady next to me is my MIL. Yes, my husbands 81 year old mother was out in the snow and rain. Oi!
The girls were having a great time at first (before they really started freezing).
This is my friend Robin who was frozen in that same pose the entire parade. At least she was dry with my umbrella. No, she was not holding a baby — don’t worry.

This was a 10 minutes before we actually got to main street (the whole purpose of this parade). A few minutes after we reached the people (you know, the parade watchers) two of the girls were whining and sitting in our laps). Yes, one was MINE.

Another shot of our wagon. The parade official with the microphone introduced us then said, “I love the most important part of that sign. Jesus is the reason for the season” and everyone began to clap. I almost started to cry. THAT was worth our trip! We had people yell, “We love your farm!” And heard others telling their children, “You went to their corn maze.” It was a blessing to be there.
Here is my futile attempt to take a picture of the parade from my view point. It really was beautiful, but you can’t tell.
We came home to this! A winter wonderland. Here is our tree lot.

I loved the pics! And I would say y'all were all brave to get out in the cold and wet!! But I think I would be one of those "whining" too!! I don't do cold!! :o)

Oh my gosh…how fun, Beth!!!!!!! Even with the freezing temps, I'm sure it was a blast to do down the parade!!!! I wish I lived close to you so I could visit!

Great pictures, and it looks like a great day in spite of the snow! It was really looking pretty around here until the snow started melting this afternoon.
