Today I link with Angie at Free Spirit Haven to share prayer requests. I received this email from Francis Frangipane and thought it worthy to share today as a MAJOR prayer request:
September 17, 2009
Recent headlines reveal that federal agents are going into homes in New York, Denver and elsewhere and are looking for terrorists. These probes are symptomatic of, what many believe to be, credible evidence that say a major “9-11” type attack is possibly imminent. We must not take these threats lightly. A certain “ho-hum” attitude has infiltrated the church concerning terror attacks in America, and we need to shake that off. With faith, not fear, let us pray for federal agents and their efforts. Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to help our agents find the terrorists, expose their plots and end the threats — and also that the agents would attribute this success to God.
I, for one, am taking this call to prayer seriously, and I ask you to join me in praying daily for this need.

On a much different note, I am also linking with Alicia at More Than Words to share a pre-digital photo. This lovely shot (sarcasm) of me was taken during my high school years. That half naked man is a poster of David Lee Roth. Yep, typical 80’s girl. Did anyone else make furniture out of milk crates? I thought I was so creative at the time.

that picture of that lady with her hands raised unto the Lord was just beautiful. I would love to have that in my home.
Beth, I had the same hair style like yours in highschool.I LOVED my 'flips'. I think they are little angel wings…God showing me that one day I would be His..lol.
How funny, Angie……I was *just* going to comment on the hairstyle and how I mastered that "roll" down the side with the perfected talent of a great curling iron, the exact amount of AquaNet and curving my fingers just the right way.
and laughing out loud on that David Lee Roth poster….my BFF had the same one. 🙂
Happy Friday!
Great word from Francis Frangipane. I love his writing. May we remember to pray for our nation & those working to protect it.
Love the 80's pic. You were (and still are) stylish my friend! Oh and I had the furniture made out of milk crates, too 😉
80s pic is priceless!
yes…my crates were yellow and in the closet. I kept my "walkman" in there! Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to have ANY posters…so when I went to college…let the half naked Don Johnson abound!
You haven't changed…you are still gorgeous. Cracking up at the poster. I had all Tom Selleck.
Great Fearless Friday…I agree totally!
As far as your 80's hair…I am totally seeing Farrah Fawcett…GRR BABY!!!
I was a milk crate decorator too!! I think I still have some in the basement 🙂
I feel like I'm looking at a picture of myself back then!! Same hair and everything – and my name's Beth – what a coinkidink! LOVE the pic and oh yeah, milk crates are still great for my kids' things ~ ♥
You haven't changed a bit! Oh my, Is that "short" hair on you??? lol
Can't say I used milk crates, but maybe its because I never thought of it…very creative! Love 80's pictures…always brings back a lot of memories.
I think I still have a few milk crates hanging around LOL. I love Francis Frangipane and thank you for the challenge. Praying with you!
LOL at the poster! I used to love posters in my room growing up! OH..so the 80's, isn't it??
And Beth…it looks like you could have taken that picture yesterday!!!!
Oh, and I will be praying too about what is going on!! We cannot take it lightly.
You do look cute, Beth, and I was wondering about that poster…Hmmm. Ha! Ha!
It looks like you had a very nice room.
♥Hope
Oh you are so cute! Love the hair as I had the exact same hairstyle, lol!
I'll bet your parents loved the milk crates as it saved them money!!!!
Great pic! I remember those hairstyles…
Pls. pray for my hubby [he works for DHS-ice] and yes, they've been doing that since when I can't remember, paying more attention to higher profiled aliens! It's not easy but there's always lots to tackle to keep this nation safe. Have a great weekend sister. Blessings and love to you.
Too cute…I had a Christopher Reeve calendar! I could never get my hair to do the Farrah thing…you were so cool with that. Didn't have milk crates, but did end up with concrete blocks and wood boards for my first bookshelves…those were the days, weren't they?
I love the iconic hair do!
You and your decor are lovely!
I need to step up my prayers for this country. No fooling around.
Joining you in prayer. I love the picture of you.

You are so lookin like that again! (not the hair though) lol
I had a crate in my room too. a pink one. it held my boom box.
Yes. we will be praying for our nation even out here in Spain.
Aww.. you looked GREAT! I also had milk crate furniture! They were stacked together to make shelf. Too cool!
