One of my dreams is to really be able to run outside. So far, it has been on a treadmill. I will keep you posted. Yes, I want hinds’ feet for the HIGH PLACES — to run in the Spirit as well.
Also, starting TOMORROW, there is a blog group who will begin working through the Made to Crave book by Lysa Terkeurst. I’m sure everyone is welcome. If you want to join us, just click HERE.
Another praise: I just have to shout how thankful I am to be at our church. Yesterday we had a Women’s Brunch where our Woman’s Pastor (pictured on the left — Elizabeth Stewart) led the meeting. She had read Joyce Meyer’s book POWER THOUGHTS and shared some of it with us as well as her own wisdom. The message was great, but I also loved the fact that I felt like I was home. I especially LOVE having such a blended church body! To God be the glory! When I think of what God did to bring us to this point, I am amazed.
I just had an a-ha moment! This type of church was a dream to me. Six years ago, if you would have told me that we would be members at a church like this, I would have said, “Wow, that would be a dream come true, but I don’t see how it could ever happen.” Well, let me ENCOURAGE YOU. God can do ALL THINGS! Do you have a dream that seems as distant as the moon? Keep believing! (I’m encouraging myself here on some other dreams that are still on the burners.)
Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
I heard something come out of my husband’s mouth last night that I know I heard someone prophesy about him many years ago. It has to do with ministry. I nodded my head and continued with my meal. I will continue to smile and watch God’s plan unfold.
Be encouraged this morning my friends. God can do MORE than you ever asked, thought, or dreamed.
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
All of the pictures are from our Women’s Brunch. This lady to your right is Angie from Laughter Does the Heart Good. If you read my blog, you’ve seen her on many of my posts. She is my buddy and we get in way too much giggling trouble together. I’ll share something funny that happened yesterday in another post, but here she is sharing from her heart:
I pray you have a wonderful day full of VICTORY!
God loves you!
(Just in case anyone from our past reads this post, please don’t receive the church comment as a sting. I was bapticostal and didn’t fit the mold that was being formed where we were. God had a different plan for us. He has a plan for you too. We are all a part of HIS Body.)
Thank you for the update Beth. Kuddos to you dear one. Blessings.
Thanks for the heads up on the Made to Crave blog group. I didn't comment last night but I did read your post about your husband on your treadmill. I was half asleep but I couldn't help but laugh. So glad to read that you're hanging in there with the weight loss and healthy eating.
Blessings and love,
Debbie
I do dream of a church where we feel that way. We were a part of one that was then torn apart by politics, and we left. We are still searching for our new home.
Hugs & love,
Mimi
Isn't it awesome how God makes all of our dreams come true! I invite you to check out my blog. I am a big fan of yours.
I am very happy for you that you found the right church home; I think there is a right church for each person and it is a blessing when God leads us there.
You are going, girl! I have been working out on the treadmill, but my snacking has been a bit off this weekend.
Today in church, someone made a beeline for me with a cupcake in her hands. Her daughter had made them and I just couldn't resist, lol!
Plus we had a women's pampering night the other night and I ate a couple of cookies.
I am trying to lose the 15 pounds that I tried to lose before I injured my back this summer. Oh well, I will do it!!!
It is hard at times to stay on track when trying to lose weight, be fit, etc….I have totally fallen off the wagon, sort of….my snacks intake has gone through the roof…so I've gained a couple of pounds! No one to blame but me!! Still, I do watch it though…do NOT want to gain my weight back!
I love love our little church…but I too desire some things that our church just does not offer…I'll just keep praying to see what God might do!
Great post!!
~Beth
Good for you in sticking to your healthy eating plan…that takes strength, courage, AND discipline! I would love to be able to run outdoors, again, but it kills my joints. So, at least for now, the treadmill is the way I have to go. Yes…it IS great to be part of a diverse congregation. I love that about ours, too!
That's wonderful! Eating healthy foods and avoiding the processed stuff is my goal. I have stopped buying the foods that trigger my overeating. I can't even have them in the house or I will eat them!
What encouraging words. So glad you have been blessed with a wonderful church.
