John 3:16
For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. (Amplified Version)
Can we even fathom what the God of all creation feels or thinks?
Isaiah 55:9
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.
For many years I felt like I could “receive” that Jesus loved me. I felt very comfortable with the Holy Spirit, but for some reason there was a hesitation when it came to Father God. I expected Him to be critical of me, disappointed in me … I was full of shame. Even though the blood of Jesus covered my garments, I focused on the stains from sin.
Psalm 103:12
He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. (New Living Translation)
We are GREATLY LOVED!
We are DEARLY PRIZED!
He REMOVED our sin as far as the east is from the west!
I love the definition of CLING that my MacBook dictionary provided:
(cling to) adhere or stick firmly or closely to; be hard to part or remove from
(cling to) remain very close to
be overly dependent on someone emotionally
Father, thank You for loving us and sending Your Son to a hopeless humanity. We DO cling to You and Your Word!
If there is anyone reading this post who doesn’t understand Your love, please open her/his eyes to see the truth. Help each of us taste and see that You are GOOD. I love YOU Father and I am so grateful. Thank You for everything Father! In Jesus’ Name. Amen
What a wonderful way to start
the day, meditating on His
great love for us. I enjoy
the way you bring forth the
word with such conviction.
Blessings,
Sandy

How very honest you are to admit that trusting the Father is a little harder than trusting Jesus or the Holy Spirit. I think maybe it's because our only frame of reference is to see Him like the father we have here on Earth. But He is after all Himself, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It really is a mystery! But John 3:16 really does say it best! Thanks for sharing this this morning!
Very beautiful explanation of the scriptures, Beth. We need to keep reminding ourselves of how great His love is for us. But it isn't always easy to comprehend in this fallen world.
Beth, your post was like breath of fresh air. Who couldn't love a God who is faithful and highly prizes us?
So unworthy of His love, yet He loves me just the same. Hallelujah, what a Savior!
Amen! What a beautiful, powerful post! I have also struggled with thinking that God is disappointed in me. What a blesing to know, live, and rely on the TRUTH ~ that we ARE His dearly loved daughters….regardless of what we've done, how much we weigh, etc..
THANK YOU for sharing your very rich insights! You've blessed me today, dear Beth!
Cindy 🙂

I have only just come to your entry this week and guess what – what you have for the 19th is on the same theme as I have today (22nd) – about the love the Lord has for us, the unmeasurable love that it is so hard to comprehend. So great that he gave up his only begotten Son.
May with remember this love in the coming week and cling to it.

Just coming back from a long blog brake, and wanted to stop by to say Hi, and as always I leave so blessed and uplifted. Thank you for once again sharing His Word to us.

Very inspiring and beautiful post, Beth! Thank you!
This is beautiful my friend. I am a little overwhelmed this week. Moving after 16 years is a hard task. I can't seem to get moving. And yes, I struggle to know this love. Will you pray for me. My mind and heart says YES, but I long to feel it. Love you my friend!
Hello! You had my favorite verse in this post; John 3:16. Your blog is very nice.
