Time for me to eat healthy!
I am linking with Cate at Show My Face for Six Word Saturday where we describe our lives in six words. You saw the sentence I chose — Time for me to eat healthy!
Argh, for at least two years I have been on an unhealthy eating plan, but especially since last June! I can blame the fact my Mom was hospitalized then in rehab (making healthy eating more difficult), but ultimately — I am the one who is an adult and who bends her elbow to eat. I even tried going to Weight Watchers. My friend who I invited to join me has lost over 50 pounds (so happy for Tresa!), but me … it just wasn’t for me. Counting points gave me the license to still eat bad foods.
Each day I keep thinking that I really need to cut out all preprocessed foods again. Then boom — I’m right back like I was the day before.
It is an all or nothing type of thing with me. If I cut the mess out of my life, then I don’t want it anymore, but if I open that door … well, you get the picture.
I don’t even take full body shots with my camera anymore because I am frustrated. I had done so well! When I look back at pictures of myself in 2009 and 2010 I just sigh. It isn’t like I’ve gained all of the weight back, but what I’ve gained is frustrating to say the least. Here is the only body shot I have and it was taken in the beginning of this month.
Time for me to eat healthy!

There’s nothing better than taking charge! TODAY! You go for it!
It’s a lovely fun photo Beth. But that’s not what you need to hear. Best of luck with the battle. It’s worth it.
I so agree, I have to do it all or nothing too. I was doing great at eating healthy a month ago, now I’m back to quick food and junk calories. Time to get back on track, let’s do it!!
Beth, you look beautiful in that photo! You sound like you have resolve to get back on track – you CAN do it! Just think – foods that nourish your body, that’s what you need.
Do you have any ideas on what you’re going to do to eat healthier? I came to the same realization a few months ago. It came when I watched Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead and another foodie show from Food Matters. We’ve been adding fresh juices to our day and that has really provided an impetus for eating healthier all around. The scale hasn’t moved much but I do feel so much better. Anyway enough about me. Good for you. Keep us posted.
