I love you, LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 14:2The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
God wants us to seek Him. He also wants to be FOUND by us. He isn’t distant and lacking compassion.
Deuteronomy 4:29
But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Have you ever sought after God? What was your experience? Did you find Him?
I remember in my teen years, I really didn’t have a relationship with God. I had accepted Jesus as my Savior at age 11, but as far as being discipled after conversion — it didn’t happen. By the time I hit my teen years, I was participating in most of the activities other teens explore. But even in my sin — even in that season of running in the world, I would fall on my knees in my room and cry out to God. I still see myself looking through my curtains towards the sky, hoping to see the clouds part and SEE the God of Creation as I poured my heart out to Him.
God still had me. I wasn’t aware of His seal on my head, but He had me. His mercy is greater than I can ever understand.
My days of desperately seeking the Lord started when satan came against my mind. That is when I discovered Jesus as my Deliverer!
Once upon a time I thought God was way up in heaven and I’d see Him one day. I thought satan was down in hell along with his demons. I was WRONG. We are spiritual beings and we interact with spiritual beings on a daily basis.
Please, if you don’t know Jesus — seek Him while He may be found. There will come a day when it will be too late. None of us are promised tomorrow.
Isaiah 55:6
Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.
Luke 11:9-10
So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Great post Beth. Yes, it's all about relationship. A continual daily process.

Beth that picture is comforting. Thank you for sharing.
I love that image of Jesus holding a child. I also became a believer at a young age but had no discipling. So my growth in Christ was stunted throughout my teen years. It was only in the past 20 years that I desired to grow in my relationship with the Lord and feed on His Word. What a difference that made! I hadn't realized what I was missing all those years.
I always tell my friends to never give up on their children and friends. Only the Lord knows their hearts. We can pray and love them.
blessings and love,
Debbie
I love your testimony – to know that God was still chasing after us with His mercy, even when we were in the world.
It's such an exciting journey that NEVER ends – we will never finish fully knowing our God! He's my Savior, Deliverer, Friend, Father, Lover, Healer, Provider, Counselor, etc., etc., on & on for eternity!!! I'm fired up now, LOL Thanks for the post.
I don't know how some people get through the valleys of life without having and knowing Him. What a blessing to know that He is our rock, our stronghold, our deliverer and so much more.
Amen. What a friend we have in Jesus.
