I’m linking with Lisa Jo at The Gypsy Mama for 5 Minute Friday. She provides the prompt and we write for 5 minutes straight. No forethought, no critiquing, no editing — just writing.
Start: 6:42am
One of our pastors talked about the lyrics of a song that we sing to the Lord, “You’re all I need …” He disagrees with those lyrics because we need one another too. We need togetherness. Is that a word? :o)
When I saw the prompt I thought of my family of course, but then my mind went to my girlfriends!
Now that I’m a Mom, I don’t have as much “Mommy-time” with my friends — but I do love it when we get TOGETHER.
I can almost guarantee laughter!
Of course there will be conversation about the Lord and what we are learning.
There will be some discussion about difficult things we are walking through.
We will pick-up right where we left off … no matter how many days, months, or years go between us.
I am thankful for my friends. Even if we only connect over the Internet. It is a bond in Christ than cannot be severed.
If we stand in the waves of life alone we can easily be knocked down, but if we hold hands our footing is steady. TOGETHER. I love my friends and am thankful to go through life with them.
Stop: 6:67

Your friends love you too! That picture brought back such good memories…can’t wait until we can spend some quality time together again.
Ahhhh, I do so miss girlfriends! When I lived in an urban area, girlfriends were a few miles away. Now, living in an extremely rural area and having no children, girlfriends are hours away. Hopefully, in the next couple of months, a girlfriend and I will connect…talking, coffee/tea, thrift store shopping, good food…
I love doing life with my girlfriends!! We always find time at least once a month for a girls’ night out, birthday celebration, or just to eat gourmet meals. Thanks for sharing
